In Memory of Bob Zook

Robert Steven Tyler Zook
He will not be forgotten

Bob always had time to goof off with friends... we miss him so much!

Never Forget

When I heard, I couldn't believe you were gone.
The next morning I awoke to a sparrow's song.
To think I'll never again hear you sing with me,
Until one day someday in eternity.
The uncertainty is unbearable I know,
I could see you in 80 years or 8 seconds from now.

I will never forget
Holy God, don't let me forget.
The confusion is unreal
I'm being crushed by this pain I feel
Help me heal,
But don't let me forget.

I need Your peace
I need Your comfort
Give me Your strength and Your love
I need Your hope
I need Your life
Give me Your joy in my sorrow

I know in your time, You can dull this ache
Until then my heart continues to break
At the questions that are unanswerable
At the tears that come unstoppable
When he went under and didn't surface
I questioned how this could serve Your purpose

"now I see but I poor reflection as in a glass, then I shall see clearly..."

Legal stuff- I wrote "Never Forget" so run it past me if you want to use it.  Two of the pictures are from the yearbook.  If there's a problem with that, let me know.

More Memories of Bob

Last year, my friend Andrew sat behind me in English class.  He was always poking me or something... it must have been his life's goal to drive me insane, so one day I decided to get even.  On Valentines Day, I had the Show Choir guys sing "Build Me Up, Buttercup" to him.  Most likely the best $3 I've ever spent!!  :)
some friends in Show Choir- the guy in the "Jimmies" shirt is my friend Bob, the guy behind him is Pat, and the one closest to me is Mike.

Bob stuck this to the bulletin board shortly after I became a teacher's aide for Mrs. Davis.  I remember how excited he and Mikey V. were to have a girl in there to do all the work so they could relax.  :)  I didn't mind.  Once, Mike and I were filing stuff and Bob had nothing to do so he asked me what he was supposed to do.  I told him I was happy with him just playing the piano and singing to us.  The next day, he played the piano and sang for me while Mike was out doing something.  He played a little blues and made up his own song - poking fun at me about a guy.  When he finished, I said, "Aw, you know I love ya!"  He just smiled.

I had Bob sign my yearbook the Thursday
before Labor Day weekend.  He was
quite pleased with his entry, which he
made up on the spot.  Kym and I thought
it was clever.  :)
